Bio/Description

Claire White is a professor of civil and environmental engineering and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University. Her research focuses on understanding and optimizing engineering and environmental materials, with an emphasis on controlling the chemical mechanisms responsible for formation and long-term degradation of sustainable cements. Other areas of research include conventional cements, new materials for carbon dioxide capture and utilization, industrial waste recycling, and fundamentals of silicates dissolution.
