Bio/Description

Jeffrey Whetstone is professor of Visual Arts in the Lewis Center for the Arts and a member of Princeton’s High Meadows Environmental Institute’s (HMEI) Associated Faculty. His research area includes the environmental humanities, where he is well-known for his representations of landscape and environmental portraiture. He has long photographed and written about the relationship between humans and nature. He is affiliated with HMEI’s Grand Challenges Program.
