Bio/Description

Karl Kusserow is the John Wilmerding Curator of American Art at the Princeton University Art Museum. His research interests include American art, visual culture and the environment, ecocriticism, environmental justice, history of ecological thought and animal studies. He is a High Meadows Environmental (HMEI) Associated Faculty member. He recently co-organized Nature's Nation: American Art and Environment (2018), a traveling exhibition re-examining 18th through 21st-century American art in relation to issues of ecology and environmental history.
