Bio/Description
Luc Deike is an associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering and the High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI). His current research focuses on fundamental fluid dynamics with an emphasis on multi-scale systems, motivated by their importance in environmental applications, including wind waves dynamics at the ocean surface, gas transfer and spray generation by surface breaking waves in the ocean, and multi-phase turbulent flows. His current efforts focus on providing novel bottom-up approaches for air sea transfer of gas, and sea spray aerosol generation, with the aim of improving existing large scale ocean and atmospheric models.
