Bio/Description
Mary (Cassie) Stoddard is an associate professor in the department of ecology and evolutionary biology and an Associated Faculty member in the High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI). Her research focuses on avian species, with topics including avian color vision and plumage evolution, brood parasitism and coevolution, mimicry and camouflage, and individual recognition. Her work incorporates techniques from computer science, optics, physiology, mechanical engineering and comparative genomics. She is also affiliated with HMEI’s Grand Challenges Program.
