Bio/Description

Yueh-Lin (Lynn) Loo is the Theodora D. ’78 and William H. Walton III ’74 Professor in Engineering, professor of chemical and biological engineering, and the first chief executive officer of the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonization, based in Singapore (she is on leave from Princeton until fall 2023). She was the former director of the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, beginning her tenure in 2016. Her research focuses on the processing and structural development of materials for lightweight and flexible solar cells and circuits. The combination is being explored for self-powered “smart” windows to increase occupant comfort, building and energy efficiencies.
